A person's disposition and personality are pre-determined genetically. I remember a lot of preferences and thinking, I already have when I was 5 or 6. That's why people say, parents know their children best. The things that you can change a person after birth, is their thinking and what they are used to. I look at people in Ottawa, they have been educated in a certain way that most people are nice and considerate, fair.. That is achieved by shaping their thinking, and their environment. To me, thinking including core beliefs, are affected by external factors.

Part of your personality/disposition is inherited and another portion is developed through environmental factors. Two identical twins raised in different environments will develop differently even though they start out the same.
@SoullFire - To me, environment affects their behaviour and thinking, but not their orientation and personality. They might repress part of the socially unacceptable traits, but it remains to be his/her personality.
Yes, identical twins and kittens from the same litter raised in the same household are also very different. That's because they have different personalities.

The fact that identical twins can have different personalities shows that it's not entirely based on genetics- otherwise their personalities would be identical as well as they are genetic duplicates of each other.
