  • Random Thoughts - Nature

    Nature

Do we base our decisions on determining what is nature and what is not?

    The 1st rule of nature

Nature's 1st rule is survival of the fittest, but human nature counters this nature.

    Anesthetics

Matter naturally favour the state of less stress.  Human, too, will find go the easy route, will find anesthetics to feed the wound, unless they have morals and will power to counter that.

    Friends

Friends drift apart when you don't maintain the relationship.  Again that's just nature, and because common sense is built on the nature of this world, so that's just common sense.

    Double standards

It is natural to have double standards.  The alley cat should work on turning itself into a something cuter than my cat, appeal on my good side, and save its riots and meowing about my double standards.  It is not natural for me to change my point of view because you tell me to.

    Happiness

Happiness is a state of being.  Do we want to change our state of mind - to be content with hell, to be complacent, or will this state hinder our pursuit of happiness?  Which is the real happiness?

    Natural to Die

When I talk to older folks, sometimes they will tell me that life is hardship, boredom, or that they are just waiting to die.  While I don't object that it is only natural to die, and their due date is much closer, old people really should be proactive in making the process colourful.  Stay young and positive, and they will be young and positive.

    Die naturally

Would you die naturally - which might involve a lot of pain and sufferings, or do you believe in euphanasia?  My coworker told me that when he is going downhill and is suffering a lot in his old age, burdening his family, he would rather end his life.  Atheist of course.

    Reliance on natural resources

Canada is lucky b/c we have a lot of valuable natural resources such as trees and water and natural gas.  Look at Dominican Republic.  All they can come up with is tobacco, coffee beans, sugar cane, and Mamajuana - seven kinds of wood and leaves turns your rum into an aphrodisiac they say.  wtf?  Problem is, we are so reliant on natural resource and we know it is going to run out in decades.

    Nature affects being?

Some people in Ottawa are so content and stable.  I tried being like them, but couldn't.  Scientific research claims that there are genes which determine how much a person can tolerate stability.  Is it genetic, or culture?

    Are we born evil

There are good people and bad people.  It comes down to nature versus nuture.  It is creepy how my brother and I have the same preferences in food, in hobbies, in life though differ in personality.  It is creepy how friends with similar backgrounds, have similar reactions and life choices though we differ in personality.  Whether nurture only change behaviour and preferences but not your core personality, that I leave it to psychologists. Yes, some of us are born more evil than others.  Yes, we can be conditioned to be less or more evil.  How we think is controlled by the chemicals, neurons and electrons in our brain, coupled by our experiences.

Less is more and more is less for work

Lots of pjt mgmt and reading for my new job, work non-stop 9 to 5.  Do you like to have less or more to do at work?  Does it depend on your age whether you want to learn more or commit career suicide?  I like to have more to do because I think it is natural to memorize and multi-task to train my head and move around to train my muscles.  The brain and muscles will naturally deteriorate if you don't use them.  I don't want to be a fat, unhealthy cinile elder, or age prematurely.

    Depression

Three weeks ago on my last day of my position, I was unbelievably depressed.  I think I was ready to jump off a bridge.  I felt neglected,  and I felt unsettled.  I sometimes feel that I am just a tad harder to be happy by default.  Do you believe that your source of depression is mostly the chemical imbalance in your body, the series of unfortunate events (triggers), or underlying stress, or depression is your default, or facebook?
