Restaurants and hotels with fun themes to make life a tad more interesting
When the water is this colour, you know you are in a tropical paradise.
There, noone deserves to be stressed.

I'll let myself take a break from my head, and you from philosophical posts. I'll share with you fun places to eat and sleep instead.
Let me know if you know more cool places.
Ithaa Undersea Restaurant in Maldives - a restaurant under the sea (Been wanting to go before it opened. I remember Florida Seaworld has one... Maybe above ground but I was in an aquarium. More or less the same effect....
To stay above or under water: Don't need to stay in the 7 star Atlantis Palm hotel in Dubai.. There is a hotel underwater off Key Largo which you have to dive to. I like to live in bungalows on stilts where you can see the ocean through the glass floor and dive right into the ocean. Lived in one in the Maldives, fishing while you were sleeping on your bed.. twas awesome. There are lots in southeast asia and the caribbean. AHHHHHHHHH!! Have to go before the corals die on us.)
Modern Toilet in Taiwan - food is served in the same room as toilets - not interested. They have one in HK too. In Asia, I am interested in those pet's cafe, where you can play with animals while eating... Don't think that idea will fly in north america.
I like boutique or modern hotels because traditional hotels bore me tremendously. Eg. The W modern theme, pet theme, red colour theme, wonderland theme etc. I usually go on tripadvisor etc. to look for small boutique hotels (but reasonably priced - I hope I don't sound too spoiled here). Much cozier. When it makes its way to the magazines, it is too late. Usually, when the hotel is awesome but new, the price will not be as inflated.
Laino Snow Village Ice Restaurant in Finland - eating in an igloo - I've had drinks at an ice bar in the Ice Hotel, and my fingers were about to fall off when I held onto the ice glass!
I briefly slept on an ice bed as a visitor in Quebec's ice hotel. Fun, but it was hardship. You can even have your wedding ceremony there. You can eat in an igloo or teepee or longhouse just in Quebec, along with dog-sledge, ice fishing, and all the fun arctic stuff.
Dinner In The Sky - this is apparently in any city, eating while a crane holds you over a city - I remember it was very expensive. Not worth it. Try eating on a roller-coaster or on a crane at night in a construction site to get the thrills. Eating in a revolving restaurants in any city is always an easy to achieve but an exciting and good experience.
Hmm... no idea on lodging in the sky. I know there is a hotel in front of Niagara Falls and my friend was very happy about that surprise. I guess any hotels high-up with a nice view is always romantic... You can also rent short-term apartments with excellent views.
Yellow Treehouse Restaurant in New Zealand - the restaurant is bsaically a treehouse - Always wanted to eat in treehouses. Only got to picnic in playground facilities.
I am going to sleep in a treehouse one day.. I found some in Okanagan before.. I want to live in a nice, big, real log house which opens to the prairies or sth... Hotels in secluded places which allow you to be in touch with nature are usually hideaways for two. Hotels on the sides of mountains a step away from the ocean, Morrocan-styled open-air hotel... canopy beds with banana leaves around you in a semi-open-to-nature setting. ah, too many.
Le Refuge des Fondus in France - wine is served in baby bottles - I have already done this. Numerous restaurants serve drinks in beakers.
Alcatrez E.R. in Tokyo - you can eat behind bars in this medical jail.. hmm.. I think if they make each table in an individual hanging cage, the effect will be enhanced.
I don't want to sleep in a cell or hospital. Thx.
Opaque in California - there are two locations within California where diners can eat their dinner in the dark for a blind tasting. There is one called NOIR in Montreal I want to try.. This will really activate your senses.
's Baggers in Germany - dinner is ordered via touchscreen and, once prepared, whizzes overhead to its destination. Looks fun. Even rotating sushi is fun enough sometimes.
Ninja New York in...New York - the restaurant is a Ninja castle. I will just emphasize on the word Castle because I don't care about ninjas.
Living in a fairy tale, in a castle, in an enchanted forest.. fulfills the fairy tale princessy romantic fantasy.
In reality, any hotel which is slightly unique would be interesting enough. I excel in playing, eating, and resort living. Msg me if you know someone is looking to hire people like me.
